NEW PARENT SUPPORT PROGRAM
Hello and welcome to the beautiful Eastern Sierra's! During your assignment at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Command, The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) offers a variety of services to support the successful parenting of children from birth to age 6. Our trained home visitor has extensive knowledge of the issues encountered by today's parents. Some areas in which NPSP can help you are potty training, tantrums, importance of rules and routines, developmental milestones, tips on sibling rivalry, learning effective positive discipline techniques and more. The N.P.S.P helps families with the everyday demands in the military. Such as: coping with stress, isolation, post deployment reunions, through a variety of programs including home visits, support groups, and parenting classes.
WHAT CAN THE NEW PARENT SUPPORT PROGRAM DO FOR ME?
- This program offers expectant parents and parents of young children the opportunity to learn new skills and to build on and improve old ones.There are often many questions about the needs of infants and young children. The program is a reliable resource for questions either in the classroom or in the privacy of your home.
